Wiltshire is a county in South West England, bordering the counties of Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
 
Wiltshire has some amazing World Heritage Sites that have stood testament to the ages. Stonehenge and Avebury have a magnetism that has drawn people to them for centuries. Romans, Normans and Saxons have all left their mark on the countryside and towns, so it is like walking through time.
 
Wiltshire is an enchanted place where you feel close to the earth and the ever-changing big skies. Renowned for its iconic white horses carved into the rolling downs, almost half of Wiltshire is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are numerous ways to enjoy the beautiful English countryside, from walking, cycling and horse-riding to fishing, golf, canal boat trips and more.
 
There are many places to visit time and time again, including the medieval city of Salisbury with its magnificent cathedral, also Longleat and the National Trust’s gardens at Stourhead.
 
If you enjoy a little retail therapy, there are the designer and factory outlets in Swindon and Wilton or you can browse the many independent retailers to be found in the charming market towns such as Marlborough.
 
Wiltshire is a beautiful and diverse county with a thriving arts scene covering theatre, cinemas, arts centres and more. There is also an extensive programme of festivals and events drawing on past times as well as the present.
